Requirements and Challenges

There were 8 workplaces in this metal working company in Germany, where manual grinding operators are continuously grinding or brushing parts. The work-cycle is mostly two shifts per day. The materials that are grinded are made of whether stainless steel or carbon steel.

A high number of semi-products are processed through the grinding shop. As a result of the tough working conditions, a high amount of smoke and dust containing a lot of burning spark particles are generated. A robust filtration and extraction solution was necessary.

Solution

  • VANTERM with its dealer in Germany, installed T-2000 model grinding tables, in order to provide a smooth extraction and an efficient capturing of the dust particles that are generated from the manual grinders.
  • Additionally, AC-403 stationary filter units have been installed as the central filtration units. In order to save energy, the filter units have been equipped with VFD – inverter control systems.
