Requirements and Challenges

KBS is manufacturing stand display systems used in stores and shopping malls. There are different type of materials used in the stand display systems such as stainless steel, galvanized steel and carbon steel.

A high amount of steel semi-products are processed through the grinding shop, whether before or after the welding process. Some of the welded parts are grinded manually, whereas some of them are grinded with semi-automatic belt grinders. As a result, there is a high amount of dust and smoke particles which arise from all of these grinding processes KBS Plant.

Solution

  • Since the grinding processes were distributed in different halls of the KBS Plant, it was necessary to provide compact and space-saving solutions. VANTERM installed AC- filter units and T-type grinding tables, to provide space savings and flexibility for future lay-out changes.
  • In order to save the electrical power, some of the filter units have been also equipped with VFD – control systems.
