Requirements and Challenges

JAGUAR LAND ROVER is one of the most popular and well-known car manufacturer in the world. The UK is still the cornerstone of Jaguar Land Rover’s business and remains at the center of Jaguar design, engineering and manufacturing capabilities. On the other hand, they keep investing in new production plants in different locations of the world.

In one of its new plants in Europe, JAGUAR LAND ROVER needed filter units/dust collectors for its welding shop where various robotic & manual welding processes are carried out. Due to the high-speed and continuous operation, the dust collectors have to be robust and strong that can cope with the high amount of welding-smoke and dust load, generated.

Solution

  • VANTERM together with its local dealers carried out the necessary calculations to create a better working environment in the welding shop. It was decided to locate all the required filter units at a central location in the plant. The necessary air-capacity and the related loss of the duct system are calculated and analyzed.

  • Five pieces of different AC-model dust collectors (AC-804 ; AC-324 and AC-60X) are installed. In order to save valuable floor space in the production area, some of the AC-filter units are installed outside, whereas some of them are lifted up over a steel construction.
